Arpeggiate Chord tones?

Is there a setting to have strum machine arpeggiate all the chords with no strumming?

There’s an arpeggiated guitar pattern available in 3/4 time, but not other time signatures… yet. It’s on my list and I’ll get it in there eventually…

  1. Your smart forum software prevented me from starting a new topic – well done.
  2. 11-year-old granddaughter Elena plays bluegrass fiddle. Her friend plays piano and taught herself Pachelbel’s Canon in D off YouTube. She told Elena they should play it together. I Sibelius’d a violin part off some public domain sheet music. But now Elena wants a StrumMachine she can practice with. Arpeggiated guitar chords would, indeed, be boss. What’s the closest thing I can approximate until it gets in there?

[Edit: using “dampened strum” with full sustain on both on- and off-beats gives a continuous chord effect. This should be plenty good to keep Elena engaged. Thanks!]

Thanks, Lee

Good tip. I never tried that.

Sorry about that, Lee. Out of the box, Discourse (the forum software) can be a bit overbearing in its anti-abuse efforts. I can’t figure out what happened here but if you recall what kind of message or error you were getting when starting a new topic I would like to know in case I can adjust a setting to prevent it from happening again. Feel free to email me a screenshot if that’s easiest.

Yeah, they’re available in 3/4 time, but in 4/4 time, not quite. You can get something a bit similar by bringing Feel all the way up and Pick-Strum balance all the way down:

Room for improvement, though, I know. Dampened strum (with no dampening) is another great option, good thinking Joseph.
