I want to copy a chord progression from one song and paste it to another.
When I copy a section, it says it’s copied to the clipboard.
But then when I go to the new song, it does not paste.
The reason I want to do this is for creating teaching content.

If you press edit, then duplicate and edit, an exact version of that song is there for you to alter any way you need to for your student. Just add something to the title of the new version so you can differentiate between the two copies. When you save the edited version, the original tune will be still be there and unchanged.
If you copy some cells in the editor and then save or discard that song and open another in the editor, you should be able to paste what you copied. I just tested this and it worked fine. Note that it probably won’t work across different browser tabs, though… maybe, but maybe not. Certainly not between the browser and the desktop app. Strum Machine’s copy/paste functionality doesn’t actually use the system clipboard, so it’s slightly limited in this way.
