I personally think that the Québécois preset works well for the way I play this tune.
Hey Paul - Great job on the chord structure for this tune. Haven’t played this one for some time - ever since I left a fiddle club that played lots of Canadian tunes. Still, it was always one of my favs. Never knew much about its history. Do you? Anyhow, thanks for rekindling some memories in reviving this tune for me.

Hi Rich, no problem. I think the tune is by Tom Anderson and is about people permanently leaving their homes on the Shetland Isles for work and life on the mainland. The light was their last sight of Shetland as their boat left the harbour. I heard that from another fiddle player in our session who had spent some time playing there. I can’t vouch for the accuracy.
