This is for @LukeAbbott : When creating or editing a tune, the Chart tab allows for Ending 1 and Ending 2 brackets. Create another entry under the Chart tab that defines the Intro in much the same way. User selects a few bars within the tune then tells Strum Machine to use those bars for the Intro. An Intro can be any number of bars from any section of the tune. I think it is usually the last 4 or 8 bars of the last section, but not always.

Hmm, not exactly sure what you’re wanting to accomplish with this, but would it be possible to use the “Intro” or “First Time Only” section type for this? (You can change section types with the gear 
︎ icon on the section heading in the editor.)
I’m hesitant to make a “beginning brackets” feature because ending brackets are a common convention from sheet music but only for endings as far as I’m aware…
