Django rhythm guitar

I’m wondering what the best settings would be for a typical Django Reinhardt / gypsy jazz rhythm?
I’ve experimented with all kinds of settings, but never found the “ideal” one.

Has anyone created a good “Django” sound?

Thank you.

There’s a “La Pompe” preset for the guitar, which is the closest I’ve been able to get. I recognize that it’s not there. For one, it’s missing the little upstroke before the downbeat that gypsy jazz players do – I’d like to add that at some point but not sure when it’ll happen.

Of course, it’d sound better with a different guitar, but the prospect of re-recording all of the thousands of samples needed to recreate the sound of a different guitar is daunting enough that it’s not on my short list of projects to tackle. Still, someday I imagine I’ll get to it.

If anyone else has any tips or ideas, I would also be curious to hear them!
