Can anyone help me with the timing? It seems like everything is in cut time with only two beats per measure. For blue grass songs there’s only two bass notes per measure.

I am not an expert on timing. But I think that the short answer to this is ‘yes’. For default settings, anyway. Most defaults appear to sound on the downbeat (1&3) unless you change it. Below are screens for settings for count in . You can change the measures of voice. But, I think it only sounds 2x per measure. For metronome, and instruments, there are more choices. See images below. I hope this helps.

Yeah, two “boom chucks” per measure, which is by far the most common way I see bluegrass notated.

Note that you can change the definition of what “1 BPM” is in Settings > Playback & BPM, if you want.
