When I practice a tune, I often set it to 10x reps or 100x reps or similar. I play fiddle and repetition of a tune helps me dial in the rhythm lilt or work on varying my bowing technique at concert tempo. I also use the Auto Advance/Auto Play feature to run through lists of tunes that I’ll be playing at the next gig. As you might imagine, I don’t always reset the practice reps to 2x and back to the default tempo. It would be nice to have a button at the top of the list that reset everything to whatever I’ve stored as a default tempo and reps for all the tunes in the list.
My thought here is that your situation might be most easily addressed with a feature that’s been requested before several times: the ability to have a list keep its own settings for key, BPM, etc. So you could, for example, duplicate your list of tunes and set up one list as your “general practice” list and the other as your “simulating a concert” list, make at least one of them store its own playback settings, and then it will load different settings depending on which list you load the song from.
Big review of list-related features will come at some point and this will definitely be something I’m considering.
The “reset button” is an interesting idea, but currently we don’t store anything in the way of “default reps” for a song, and “default tempo” only loosely. That may also change someday, but not sure.
