I’m diving into Celtic styles on fiddle and Celtic often has a slight tempo change between tunes in a medley. To create an example: The first tune played alone is 70 bpm, and the 2nd tune played alone is 90 bpm. I create a medley that includes both tunes. The medley has its own tempo at 80 bpm. When it plays the first tune does it use 80 bpm or 70 bpm? I wonder if medley tempo is something like a percentage adjustment of the original tune tempos so that a medley tempo at 120 bpm would crank up the 1st and 2nd tunes by an equal amount?
The medley as a whole has a BPM control, which you can see next to the play button as usual. This sets the tempo for each tune in the medley. The BPM setting from the original song is ignored.
If you want to have the tempo change from tune to tune, you can adjust that with the button to the right of the song title down in the medley. These tempo changes are defined as multipliers, e.g. 115% of the medley’s BPM.
Hope that makes sense!
