Ralph's Banjo Special

Discussion on Mandocafe identifies Daybreak in Dixie with a I-IV-V progression on the A part of the tune; the Stanleys cut this for Mercury in 1957 with Bill Napier playing mando and Benny Martin and Howdy Forrester on twin fiddles.

Ralph’s Banjo Special is basically the same tune with the quick turn to the G in that first section.
It’s listed as “Ralph’s Banjo Special” on Mountain Song Favorites - Stanley Brothers & Clinch Mountain Boys [Starday SLP106, 1959] . The recording is in Ab.

“Ralph’s Banjo Special” — called “Daybreak in Dixie” — appeared again in their 1960 recording “The Stanley Brothers In Person" (King LP 719).

B part is the same progression on both.
