Rest is not totally silent

When I insert a rest measure (or half measure) I still hear a sound near the end of that measure… like a really faint “click”.

I couldn’t see a “response” command to your answer… That’s why I’m editing the original post to reply. Thanks Luke. Maybe it’s because I’m using the headphone output from my Mac to feed studio monitors, and the output on the Mac is turned up almost all the way. If I don’t turn the output on the Mac up, when I turn my monitor speakers up loud enough to play along with, I get an annoying ground hum. I’ll email you a sample. I’m feeding this signal into Logic Doesn’t bother me when I’m just practicing, but i often feed the signal into Logic Pro to make demo recordings. Its not a big deal to mute the noise in Logic Pro if I need to use the demos for anything important.

Any way I could hear a recording of this? You can email it to me if you like.

There’s actually a very faint sound that plays during rests. This is to keep the playback system “awake” if it’s in the background (i.e. another app is focused on a mobile device). It’s supposed to be inaudible, and I can’t hear it even with my volume turned way up, but perhaps something is going wrong to make it more noticeable for you than it should be.
