Strum Machine is widely used in my local bluegrass scene, and folks often share links via chat. (Discord is what we use currently, but it handles link previews pretty much the same way as other platforms.)
The problem is that when someone shares a link to a chart, the preview is just a generic Strum Machine icon and text. We share a lot of links, so it’s not easy to keep track of which is which (and in the middle of a jam we may just share a bare link quickly for whatever got called, without taking the extra time to add context). If the preview included the basic song info (probably title and owner) that would be awesome.
This has been on my to-do list for a long time. To be honest, I didn’t realize (or forgot that) it was this bad – I knew the image was embarrassingly bad but I didn’t realize it didn’t even give a title. I’ll work on getting this at least a little better in the beta.

The new preview you just added is way better. Just having the title solves most of the problem. Thanks, can’t wait for this to land in the non-beta version!
Good! I think the dynamic images were not working when you tried it. Now you should get a nice little image included as well, like this:
That was a very quickly-thrown-together image template, will definitely change in the future. Would have loved to include a bit of the chord chart, but for technical reasons that proved prohibitively challenging.
(Also, I think this forum excludes these images, so they won’t start appearing when links are posted here.)
Main website should get updated with the beta version probably in the second half of June. (After Father’s Day… my fellow Californian bluegrassers probably know what I’m talking about!)
