We both have full, paid versions and share tunes. Sometimes the different sections don’t show the repeats on each other’s apps. For example, his version of Scotch Mary doesn’t show the AA, BB repeats for me. Just A, B. Likewise, there’s a tune I’ve put in that doesn’t show the repeats for him (Roscommon, I think). It’s not every tune, just the occasional one.
I haven’t heard of this kind of issue before. You should both be seeing the same thing with shared songs. The next time you notice it, please send an email to support (through the Help menu in SM) with a link to the song in question, as well as the name of your friend so I can look it up in his account too.
