I am trying to put a strum machine audio file into forscore, so that i can open my score/chart in forscore and have the audio file for the same song play when i push a button on the forscore score/chart. First i have to be able to make an audio file from strum machine. Which i can’t figure out how to do. Internet search says go to advanced settings…but i see nothing…is this capability feature still available? What am i missing? Thank you.
Here’s how it’s done, from https://strummachine.com/help/record:
First, you’ll need to enable this opt-in feature, which is disabled by default. Open Strum Machine in your web browser (not the mobile app, which doesn’t support this feature), then go to Settings (top-left menu), then “Extras”, and enable “Backing track recorder”.
Once enabled, using it is simple. Here’s how it’s done on a computer:
On any song page, open the Global Audio Mixer in the playback bar by clicking the speaker icon, and then click the “REC” button that now appears near the top left corner.
You will now see an option to enable recording the next playback. It should be automatically enabled.
Set Rep Limit to whatever you like (optional but recommended), then hit record (the play button) and let the song play and end.
A few seconds after the song ends, an MP3 recording of the backing track will be downloaded.
Note, it used to be under Advanced Settings, but that menu doesn’t exist anymore. I see that Google’s AI response is still giving out this old information, which doesn’t surprise me since AI answers are often out of date due to the AI’s “knowledge cutoff date” (i.e. when they were trained).
