Regarding this post How to share songs/lists with the community , I think you’re missing an incredible resource there. Right now, if I go to the main page and search “Twinkle Twinkle” or the “The Musical Priest”, it finds nothing. However, it exists in the community. I only stumbled across it by having a poke around. To most new people, the default list of tunes seems fairly limited.
I think it would be a tremendously powerful feature to search “The Musical Priest”, get the “No songs match” message, but add another button to “Search Community”. There will undoubtedly be multiple copies, but you already have tags to distinguish them, e.g. “David”. They may be in different keys, so that’s useful, but you could also sort them by popularity by tracking how many times they are added to another person’s list.
There are literally thousands of tunes in that Community that are otherwise hidden. I’d go a step further and take them out of Community and add a Share / permissions option on each owned-tune, e.g. public, or link only.
