Pan toggle for count-in?

A full hard pan to left or right for the count-in would be helpful for me. I use SM as backing tracks for playing live. I use all instruments panned to center, and use the left side folded back for my stage monitor and the right side to front of house. If I was able to keep the count-in out of the mains that’d be an improvement. I use the dampened strum for count-in.

Pretty specialized request I know. Even if it’s an easy add I can imagine not wanting to complicate the interface more than needed. I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask!

Yes, this has been requested before as well. I will be revising the mixer next year and I am going to look into adding count-in to it so that you can adjust pan there, or alternately add a pan control in the count-in settings. Count-in is tricky when it comes to mixing, due to reasons I describe in this post, but I’m sure I can figure something out.

If binary toggling is easier that would work. The countin doesn’t need to be “mixed” or panned in a stereo field, just heard only in one side or the other, at least for how I’d use that feature. Could be done with switch. Easy to say I know. I was surprised others had asked about this.

I kinda have the same issue. I just turn the volume of the count in down to be barely heard and I do a dampend strum on my guitar at the same time so it looks like I’m doing it… lol. Works for now

We use a separate bass amp on stage with a usbc to 1/4 in jack adapter cable. That amp isn’t connected to the mains, it’s mostly only to be heard on stage for us to use as a metronome. I try to set it up so just a little bit of the bass goes out… just enough to fill the room a little more. I’ve recorded and made a few videos. It sounds really full and that count in is barely heard.
